I'm back among the living...

after working the after prom party this past Saturday night. It was a great party for the teenagers (Midnight to 3:30 am). There were 217 students/guests and 45 chaperones. No bad behavior reported....only one incident of risque' behavior. A big-bosomed girl got into the swimming pool in her purple bikini underwear and a t-shirt (no bra.) :radar: Our chaperones were on the job though. There were a lot of activities other than swimming: basketball, racquetball, tennis, obstacle course, bouncy boxing, airbrush tattoos, football toss, casino games, darts, more food than anyone could possible eat, D.J. and dancing. We took the leftover food (that hadn't even been touched) to the Rescue Mission. I got home at 5:30 am Sunday morning (had to help clean up the party.)

I feel I've missed a lot of happenings at the Shack. Hope everyone here is doing o.k. I've been out of the loop for almost a week.

Glad to hear you survived prom. That's great that the kids get to have a good 'after hours' party with ton of parental units to chaperone. My proms seem so lame compared to these. Dinner, dance, and home by 2:30am. Proms have sure changed.

Welcome back! I remember those days - or nights - when I chaperoned our after prom events. Glad to hear that it was mostly uneventful. I hope you had a chance to catch up on your sleep.

It was a lot of fun...although a lot of work. I did manage about 6 hours of sleep Sunday morning, and I took Monday off from work. I don't feel like this :wacko: anymore, thank goodness.
