Any ideas for a card with no layers?

Hi girls,

I'm new to the site...Love it by the way... I am in a neighborhood swap and the card for this month is a card that has no layers for example: no ribbon, brads, tape etc... I know the obvious answer is duh just stamp it.. I was hoping that someone would have a cool technique. Last month's card was shaving cream. So I have already used that one up. I have a huge store.....haha(that's what my husband calls it anyway) of stamps on hand. I have been racking my brain and just can't come up with anything cool or clever.

Melted Crayons give a neat background, depending on the stamp you are using. House Mouse stamps usually take up the whole front so watercolouring those if you had one would work. Good luck!

Try the alcohol inks. They make really pretty backgrounds.
The neighborhood swap sounds like fun. How did this get started? That might be something I might like to try in my neighborhood.

Angelina, why don't you try the grid technique. It's very simple. I posted below the card I made using it. If you leave off the hardware, there are absolutely no layers . . . just stamping.

Angelina, this is a card I made with no layers. It is really simple masking. Just mask off a rectangle with post-it notes and then stamp your design. Sponge along the edges of the post-it notes with a complimentary color.

These Ladies are great here, aren't they? I was going to just say stamp it too, but see now I have a few new ideas that I am going to have to go try as well! :)
