View Full Version : Paris may have to return to prison . . .

I just read where the judge has ordered Paris back to court at 9:00 am tomorrow morning. The city attorney has complained that it is the judge's call not the Sheriff's office to decide whether to release an inmate early or not. He also said that he has been inundated with phone calls and emails from irate citizens from around the country claiming celebrity justice being handed out.

I think releasing Paris early is a terrible precedence being set for young admirers.

I think she should return, she should hate it, she should cry and freak out, then she should buck up and get over it and realize there are consequences for her actions and come home a better woman. I don't think that will happen but it's what I want. For HER I think she needs to stay.

She certainly does need to stay. She did the crime now pay the price. She should sit in that little room 23 hours a day and reflect on how wrong she is living her life. Then when she is released, she should dedicate her life to helping the less fortunate. (and then I woke up cause it would never happen)

I think she should of had to stay. At the same time it wasn't her fault they let her go. She's only doing what she was told.

I totally agree. I was shocked to hear she was released, uh celebrity justice, no doubt!

She should be in jail just like the rest of us would be. The fact that she is a celebrity should have even more weight because so many young people are influenced by her. Are they waiting until she kills herself or someone else before they wake up?

I sort of feel sorry for her now. She should just be left alone. Who cares about her anyways! I'm more worried about where and when to buy my next stamp set and supplies! ;) KWIM?

She needs to have her spoiled rotten hiney back in the prison, stay there, behave herself, and GROW UP! What medical reason would have gotten her out? Because she didn't like the food, bunch of hooey, get her butt back in the jail.

I'm sorry, but Paris drives me crazy. She's always complaining that nobody respects her. Umm, hello? How do you expect people to respect you when you participate in raunchy porn videos, drive drunk (repeatedly), disrespect authority by showing up to court 20 minutes late, and whine and act like a baby because you have been punished? She needs her scrawny ass put back into the slammer. Suck it up!

You said it, Sherry! And you said it well! ARGH!:arghh: What HAS Paris ever done that is helpful, respectful and deserves recognition?

In all honesty, I feel sorry for these celebs of today.... no matter what they are famous, not famous or infamous about. I can not imagine what it's like that everywhere you go, whatever you do... there are these guys parked out waiting for you outside your home, outside the restaraunt, outside the bathroom...calling your name, snapping pictures, trying to aggrivate you.

Anyone (and a lot do) say that, hey if want to be a 'star' and the publicity, that's all part of it. But I've read or heard from stars who no longer are in the lime light.... no one DESERVES to have a camera in their face, scrounging through the garbage and following you.... I can't as a normal citizen image that .

Today, this is what these young 'stars' must go through because the public buys into...Can you imagine in our day (well my day) Tatum O'Neil, Jody Foster, Maureen McCormick, Valerie Bertinelli.... if poparazzi followed them around like they do now a days.... they'd be worse off than they are now!

I don't condone the behavior.... but as a mother of a pre-teen.... all the underage stuff and partying..... man... the money being wasted on all of that... are they really having that much fun??

I want some new role models for my kids that actually stay clean, sweet and have a normal life!!

i agree put her back in...any of us would have to serve our time and not just HOUSE arrest in her big ole mansion :) i say put her back in

CELEBRITIES should NOT get special attention when it comes to the LAW JMO :)

They have made her go back to jail. They also gave her more days, which imo is unfair. It's not her faught that they sent her home so she shouldn't be punished for the decision that the sheriff made.

OH girls!!! I agree with you all's opinion's, but I'm feeling super sorry for her. My heart is actually aching. I keep picturing one of my girls instead of her, and it breaks my heart. I think that ankle bracelet at home would've been fine. I am praying for her so those 45 days will go by fast.

It's ok myrna. She will be fine, she's not in federal freaky gang prison, she's in her own cell. It's BORING and PLAIN. She needs to grow up. I really do have compassion for her, but she needs to buck up. Really this could be the best thing for her. I'm not just saying that because I like to see skinny rich girls suffer I really believe it could be good for her.

BTW you are NOT alone in your opinion. I'm chatting this topic on another board and people feel like you. Also Barbara Walters and Don King of all people wanted her out. Never feel alone.

Erin,
Yes now that you say this it makes more sense to me. I guess you are correct! Thank you for making me feel better :)

Tonii, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I don't want to sound mean and I wasn't going to respond here because I really feel like she deserves what she got but the girl did the crime now she has to do the time. They took her out of court kicking and screaming and calling, "Mom". I guess Mom and her money couldn't get her out of it this time. She has a room by herself -- that in itself is enough preferential treatment. Get over it. Let her lie there on that cot and think about what she did. I said it before and I'll say it again. She needs to reflect on her indecent life and come out a better person helping the less fortunate. But it's much easier to take Mommy and Daddy's money and "enjoy" life. This sentence will do nothing to change her. If anything she will probably go on a hunger strike. Then what will happen?

I apologize for being so crude but I just finished watching the sentencing of a woman who shot her minister husband in Tennessee after many years of verbal, mental and sexual abuse. This poor woman is so meek and mild-mannered and didn't have the strength to stand up to her husband. She was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and received a sentence of 3 years. I know that this is a totally different and worse crime than what Paris did but anyone who commits a crime deserves to pay the penalty no matter what it is. Imagine if Paris killed someone when she was on one of her drinking and driving rages.

See my thing is I don't even care that she's not doing more with her life, she can waste it if she wants, it's hers she just cannot endanger other people's lives or break the law.

Myrna my heart was heavy for you as I prepared my dinner so I have to say more to you. I truly know what you mean about seeing your girls. I see my boys in every news story almost. But really, if this was one of your girls you'd WANT them to learn they cannot behave this way wouldn't you? I'm sure you are already raising them to know they cannot but if for some reason they still had the idea as young adults that they can do whatever they want without having to pay for it like anyone else you'd want them to buck up and learn it, I'm sure because you love them. Crap I made myself cry.

Scary as it might sound, she is getting a worse treatment than a simple nobody in our community. Our local jail has a problem with over-crowding, so most don't even spend anytime in jail after they are sentenced.

I am very sick of her and all the other celebrities getting more airtime on the so-called "great news" channels than the real news worth stories, such as the war, and all our great soldiers giving the ultimate sacrifice. I refuse to watch the crap, and turn the channel when her, or another ultra celeb are one, I could care less about all their parties and clothes........:arghh::arghh:

And then I sit there and think, while I don't drink anymore, there are occasions where unfortunately where my mind is off the road, and on other things, I could or anyone of us could do something that we didn't mean to do behind the wheel of our car, and it would still bring us to the same conclusion as her, and we would also think it would be unfair. MJ,

I totally agree with you except SHE drove with a suspended license not once but twice both times intoxicated. Imagine if she killed someone.

I am not condoning anything she did, believe me I have picked up the parts of people after they are killed by drunk drivers, many many times in my career.
I knew she drove on a suspended license 2 times, but I didn't realize she was also intoxicated at the time, I heard different. Oh well, here I am wasting my time talking about the crap I tun off the TV :biglaugh:

I agree she should certainly be incarcerated for the length of time deemed appropriate by the judge. I was watching Nancy Grace (first time ever) last night and one of the guests made a very true comment. Paris firstly drove and was caught for a DUI, then she totally ignored that and drove under suspension. With all her money, why do that? Her family have people on staff paid to drive them around. It was like she was saying, I'm above the law and can do what I want. Well, no, you can't, not without having the pay the consequences, which, in this case, is now jail time. Just do it and get it over with, girl!

Hey Myrna...here is a thought to make you feel better about her incarceration...what if one of your kids was driving and Paris killed them while she was drunk? That kind of stuff happens all the time...to innocent people. We just had a young dad killed and his wife left in a coma because of a drunk driver. Now their children are orphans. Wouldn't it be better for Paris to learn her lesson...even if this doesn't change her, at least we know we did what we could. Sometimes, love means having to discipline...you know "Spare the rod and spoil the child"!
