Ethan got in fire ants.

he has between 20 and 30 bites

most of them are on his hand and arm, some on his tummy and diaper area, at least 3 on his face.

He weighed 21lbs 13 oz last week at his visit.

I gave him benydrill.

what else can I do.

I called and left a message with the on call DR.

He's actually acting ok.

I put some "afterbite kids" on them, he's laughing and having fun.

didn't but the cream where he'd suck it off of course.

I have the call in and clearly he's not on death's doorstep so I think it's ok...

A baking soda bath will help releive the itching. Calamine lotion. My DH's medical advice!!

The Dr called. We are doing the right things. He's not upset so we are happy now. I'm sure he will start itching soon. :( The baking soda is what she said too.

here's a pic.

It's cool. He has the icky white blisters that itch like heck when I have them. but he's not itching at all because he's super baby. He did mysteriously take up thumb sucking (not on the bitten hand, on the other) but if that comforts him I'll ignore it for a few days at least.

He LOOKS bad though. I mean now that they are blistered you can see every single bite, some that we thought were just one are actually several.

I hate ants.
