For everyone at Stamp Shack who knew and misses our dear friend, Lori Adelaars I wanted to share a couple of photos I just took this morning.

Two years ago Lori sent me some seeds from her beautiful English garden she had. She sent me these hollyhock seeds and we made pact that we'd do our "scientific experiment" to see how well her seeds from her warm and sunny California home would do in cold Ottawa.

Well, the morning glories and hollyhocks are thriving in my yard.

Below are a couple of closeups of the gorgeous hollyhocks. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. Sad because I miss our dear friend so much, but happy to see the bright and cheerful colors and blooms that were originally started by her.

Enjoy!

Wow what a stunning color! It reminds me of how Lori enjoyed working with the color combination red, white and black. Thanks so much for sharing this memory!...Jan

Those are so gorgeous, Jennifer. I have some in my yard that look different--more like a single blossom. Yours are so much more ruffled and fuller blossoms, just like Lori. TFS them with us.

Thank you so much for sharing. I came across a couple of Lori's cards when I was sending cards to the troops.
