I saw these in the gallery at SCS today and think it is an ingenious idea for gifts around the office.

Anyone know how to do this (types of inks, materials, etc.)? I didn't see any directions over there for it.

TIA!
Julie

I haven't seen them before but it's totally cute. I would assume any perminant ink would work. :)

I can't tell...but is that a tile with a dry erase pen?

Make it the same way you would make a stamped tile like people have been doing here in the gallery....get your design on there, color it up, bake it, then coat it with Kryon...should keep the design nice when you wipe off the ink writing. (How do I know all this...lol)

Yep...it's a little tile with a dry erase pen attached to the side with velcro. Isn't it cute?!?!?

I just wasn't sure if the same type of inks that are used for the tumbled tiles would work for this since the surface is so slick.

Thanks!
Julie

Yes- you should be fine with the same ink... I was using waterproof ink since I was painting my tiles with twinkling h2o's.. no problemo. :)

I wonder if staz-on would work?

I know what I'm making for Christmas next year. Now, I just need to buy some staz-on ink. Heather

There were several posted, and they had listed under materials used Staz-on ink.Heather

I have made these with Stazon ink and I have made others on glossy tiles with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. If you emboss be sure to wipe the tile with a puff static pillow first as it tends to stick all over the tile otherwise. i coloured mine in with glass paint. I'll post a pic in the gallery later

I'm not sure what to make of this one...does the expo pen erase...I guess it has to, who wants a note tile that only holds one note! LOL cute present though!
