OK...I give up....what do they mean?
My Dad often said, "Nature in the raw is seldom mild."
It seemed to fit a lot of different events in my life while growing up! LOL

Far away bulls wear long horns means:

when someone is talking about a place or experience that is far away, or that you have never been to, they can tell you anythng and make it sound so fantastic--but if you were really there, you probably wouldn't be impressed. Like UCLA sounds so terrific to me, b ut if I really saw it, I might think huh, so what was all the hype about.

Love me little and love me long was usually said when we got a new friend and wanted to spend ALL our time with them. It was my father's way of saying something like be careful you don't get sick of each other, or
don't wear out your welcome.
