where does one find glossy cardstock? Is there a particular manufacturer that you'd recommend. I noticed that on splitcoast, a lot of techniques ideas, use this type of paper. Any help would be appreciated.

I think, though, that I saw some at Michael's. Someone back me up on this but I'm pretty sure they had it. It wasn't sold in reams of glossy card stock but rather by individual sheets.

I've looked at Micheal's and Hobby lobby and coudln't find it at either. I don't have a LSS besides those two. I would love to know where to find some also. I finally just bought photo paper, but that stuff is expensive.

Glad you asked the queston Shelly.

I tried buying it at Michael's and HL but could never find it there. I finally ordered a pack from SU and it's great.

AC Moore carries it and when the other papers go on sale, it does too. You have too look for it but its right next to the plain white cardstock. I stock up when its 50% off :) Do you have an AC Moore?

My stamp store carries it but it is either 50 cents or 80 cents per sheet!

I think that SU has the best quality glossy cardstock. You can do lots and lots of different things with it!!

I agree. I get mine from SU as well. Too bad more stores don't carry it. I have lots of photo paper as I print pics alot. I may have to try this and see if it gives me the same effects.

I've tried the photo paper before.....no good fo my applications. Keep in mind that photo paper is intended to dry quickly.

I have had this site (http://www.paperandmore.com/cat-metallic-cardstock.html) bookmarked. The prices see to be good. I also like the selection. I am going to place an order soon. The shipping price is right as well. :)

Inks you tend to use on glossy CS will dry quickly too.

Gotta love all of SU cardstock! I have always bought their colored cs, but recently discovered the glossy. It's too fun!

I use Kodak photo paper. I found a package of 100 sheets of satin finish at Wally World for $7.00. I save my scraps from photos I print and use those as well.

Good luck.

I get mine from the paper company I order from but there is the issue of shipping (which I just get around by placing a large enough order for free shipping :) ).
If you're interested its www.californiapapergoods.com

Have to agree SU has it and it is a great quality and the price is reasonable. Ranger also makes a great one if you can find someone who carries it. Mel

I have to say Stampin Up is the way to go on this one. I have tried a few photo papers way back an didn't have any luck but they were the cheap ones. I may have been the techniques I was playing with too.... I tried it with the polished stone technique and it didn't tolerate the moisture from the rubbing alcohol well.

I get mine from SU, however... I have seen it at Mike's. It's 12x12

Marco Paper marcopaper.com carries lots and LOTS of paper of all kinds, including glossy. Their prices are pretty decent, too.
