Computer problems, can anyone help????

This stupid computer of mine is driving me crazy. It keeps turning itself off and then back on . It has done this about 10 times this morning. I don't know why. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is your computer actually turning itself off and then back on or is it simply rebooting?

You could have a virus. Are you running virus scanning software?

There are other reasons, too, why your computer might do this. It could be overheating or the result of improperly configured hardware. Did you do any hardware upgrades recently?

It is sometimes rebooting but then sometimes it turns itself off for about 5 mins. then back on for 30 seconds then back off and so on. I ran a virus scan and it came up clean.

ack. I hope you figure out whats up, sorry I have no clue!

I hope so too. I tried a couple things which didn't work. I just now took the panel off and clean the inside really good with some of that spray air stuff. i checked to cords too. We will see how it goes.
