THUNDER in January!!!

It's raining and blowing and THUNDERING out there today. It is very rare for there to be thunder in January in the NorthEast!!!:shocked:
Maybe I should shut down the computer!!!
Hope we don't lose electricity!

YOu are getting what we had all week! It was sure scary. It melted all the snow. Last night, we got 4 inches of the wet, slushy snow.

Really? It's very common for us to get thunder. we have it year round! I never thought of it before, so sounds strange that you don't get it in Jan!!

Hi Joanie! You have that too? I work in Tewksbury and I heard the down pour of the rain and a little bit of thunder too...Yikes! But I am thankful for the rain as opposed to the snow. We still have bunches of snow here..went to Boston last weekend and all their snow is gone! Lucky ducks! It's funny..yesterday on way to work the sun was shining in my eyes and today it was pouring buckets lol.

We had some big booms here north of Boston as well! A couple of them shook the house!

I had the same there here on the south shore. It was even lightening. When I first heard the noise, I thought a neighbor was doing something, then I realized that it was thunder.

really big bolts and flashes of lightening going on right now! I should be off the computer now I bet!

Yep ... that is the same storm that produced tornados about 20 minutes from me in IL ... wacky wacky weather! :wacko:
