Thank you! I'm off to a meeting today.

It's our quarterly cabinet meeting so hopefully it won't be boring! At least it will be over at 1. We have guests that came in from Los Angeles (we were their guest last month) so will be taking them out for dinner tonight. Last night we took them to our favorite Japanese restaurant. I think this was new to them, although they've had teriyaki before but not sushi.

Anyway, Emil rented a room for tonight, so we'll be staying at the hotel with our guests.

Thanks again for the birthday wishes!

The weekend didn't quite turn out the way I expected, but was still good. Our meeting wasn't over until 1:30 and everyone there (about 150) sang Happy Birthday to me. Our guests ended up going back home to L.A. after the meeting as the wife was not feeling well. So we cancelled the hotel room for them but kept ours. We still have the dinner reservation, so invited another couple (he had a birthday last week that we missed the dinner to) and and a triple celebration. Our birthdays and his nomination to follow DH as incoming vice district governor.

After we checked out of the hotel, we stayed to have their Sunday brunch. Very yummy and a great end to our weekend.
