View Full Version : A toot for DS - he will be working for the NY Times

Some of you may know our oldest is trying to become a photographer. He has been working on some really great shoots recently. Today he got called by the NY Times Sports Magazine to work as production director next week on the PGA Tour shooting Tiger Woods. The Arnold Palmer Classic is at the Bay Hill club (very exclusive in Orlando, FL). He will be working with a photographer from Italy called Massimo Vitali. (His name meant nothing to me but he has a website, not really updated though). Anyway, the magazine heard that my son likes to shoot his 4X5 camera, and they want him to do this for the magazine. I am not a camera buff, but this is an old camera from Germany (the really old fashioned kind) but the pictures he gets are great! He is on cloud 9 right now about shooting for the NY Times. I am like....you will be shooting Tiger Woods?! So ladies...keep your fingers crossed for good weather next week:D

How exciting! Just tell him NOT to snap a shot when Tiger is gettting ready to swing... he really wigs out when that happens. LOL

Cathi...the shots will be set up at different locations in the club and greens...not during actual play times.

Wow Cheri, this is exactly what he was after. I know he will have a blast doing this. Hopefully when they print the pictures, he will be given full credit by having his name in print. Congratulations to your DS and wish him lots of luck for me.
