In a large skillet, add olive oil and saute onions, peppers, and garlic over LOW heat until veggies are tender. Be careful not to burn the garlic (burned garlic is bitter). When veggies are tender, remove from pan and set aside.
Add ground beef to skillet and fry until cooked through. Drain fat.
Return veggies to pan and add seasoned salt, pepper, ketchup, chili sauce, and worcestershire sauce.
If you like a little sweetness to your sloppy joes, add 1/4 cup sugar. If you like a tart sloppy joe, omit the sugar.
Cover and simmer for 20 mins so that flavors can meld.
Taste to check seasonings. Add more salt/pepper if needed.
Slop mixture on top of hamburger buns.
Enjoy!

I like that you make your own sauce. I always just buy it out of the can! I'm going to have to give this a try!!!

If you are used to the can variety, you might want to omit the sugar from the recipe. I find the can stuff pretty tart (my kiddies won't eat it, haha).
