View Full Version : New Shack Logo??

Sherry

Some of you ladies have expressed interest in obtaining Shack related merchandise and T-Shirt logos for upcoming stamp events. Unfortunately, we do not own the rights to the current logo (I only have rights to display it on the website - I do not have rights to use it on items for resale). With that in mind, I have been soliciting a few artists to see what they could come up with for $100 or less. And, it goes without saying that we would have exclusive rights to the image so we could use it however we see fit.

I will keep you updated!

Anyhoo, one artist took it upon himself to go ahead and draw us a sample image. Here it is:

What about all the talent we have here? There are a bunch of folks on line who design stamps - can anyone put something together that works as a logo on line, a printed image on a shirt and a rubber stamp?

Honestly, it made me think of Shreck right away. Doesn't AMUSE Stamps (or someone) have a stamp like that? Ellie--didn't you just order it?

I vote for Sherry to come up with a new logo and to be paid for it. Sherry you are so talented, why don't you give it a try?

How about this for inspiration? It wouldn't have to be a beach shack but I like the idea of a the frame of the shack around the name.

I can also see a cute shack more like a giant cupcake instead of the waffle.

I'm not particularly liking the wooly shack image, haha. It reminds me of the "Ice Age" movie.

I, myself, prefer things that are uncomplicated. I think something clean and simple such as this logo (with flowers of course) would be perfect.

Yes. lose the palm tree and have flowers- looks great. A linear style of image that could be made into a stamp .works for me

Lots of cute opportunities to color and decorate the cute little shack. Christmas lights at Christmas, etc. Very cute.
Here's the cupcake sketch I did just for fun.

Here's a quick sketch I did... if I'm so computer un-savy, and it didn't work, I'll put it on my blog.... I can fatten it up, make it thinner, change the flag, add a crab or a palm tree.....

Hmm, when I think of Stamp-Shack I always think along the lines of the beach. I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it is from the Love Shack song or something that always plays in my head when I log on. I'm not crazy about any of the suggestions so far....sorry.

I'm not crazy about any of these either. The one with the palm tree that Sherry posted was the closest as far as clean lines, but so far it just doesn't seem like we've found "the one".

I wish I could draw. I have an image in my head of a cute little Shack with Sherry's cupcake on the top as a chimney, and window boxes with flowers, some more flowers planted in front of the Shack and one of Sherry's crabs sitting out front at a table stamping a card.

May I make a couple of tiny suggestions? Perhaps move the "logo" up a bit, make the door a little taller (so it will be in better comparison to the crab), move the window with flower box in and add tiny little shutters to the sides of it? Those swirls at the bottom of the flower box are adorable!! (These are just my suggestions, I think you did a wonderful job on your drawing)

I agree that this probably too busy for a logo, it's drawn on an 8-1/2x11 piece of paper, just a sketch with all the ideas that were posted. Often that is how an idea is worked out, numerous sketches and tweaking.. I was just running with the ideas that were posted, and I can adjust anything, given directions.

I like the last drawing you did Peggy,

but, seriously if i can be very honest here, I would be more inclined to buy a tee shirt that was mostly words. and do without a picture. or have a very small picture?

(I mostly only wear tee shirts at home cleaning the house or to sleep in.)

Wow, ya'll took so great initiative and created some logos! I'm really impressed :) Your artwork is simply fantastic!! We have some serious talent here at The Shack.

In terms of a logo, I really think simplicity is best. I'm looking for something that has clean lines and is not too busy; something that will look terrific in color or as a black and white line drawing. This would serve a multitude of applications such as a logo for the website, t-shirts or other apparel, a rubber stamp, ATC backgrounds, etc.

So far, nothing I have seen is screaming 'Stamp Shack'. All of the artwork being submitted by the artists I have solicited is falling short of my expectations. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll find the perfect image.
