I knew that your prayers were working late yesterday when the new doctor that I went to told me that my cancer is in the beginning stages and not the end. There is a 50% chance that I will go into remission after 4 chemo sessions. I will have chemo on Wed, Thur and Friday once a month for 4 months. The pet? scan showed no other cancer in my body at this time and that the lung tumor and lymph nodes are localized in one place which makes it easier to treat.

With the hot and humid weather and medical tests I somehow got dehydrated and spent the night at the hospital. I will be starting the chemo this next week and the doctor said I should feel a change in my breathing and reliance on oxgyen within a week to week and a half after the first treatment.

Of course he had to let me know that the other 50% chance is that the chemo will not help, the cancer will spread and well you know the rest. I for one am looking at the 50% it will work.

Thanks again so much for all of your prayers and notes of support as well as all of the birthday wishes.

Love and Hugs, Jean:spinny:

Hi Jean. I am loving your positive attitude. Drink lots of liquids okay? Tote with you a water bottle everytime you leave the house and don't be afraid to ask for water wherever you are.

WOO HOO---good girl--stay positive. I have also heard many times that humor/laughing produces something in the body that promotes healing--so turn on I Love Lucy or Abbott and Costello or whatever makes you laugh and "let 'er rip". I'll keep praying and hoping--patty
