Geez, I let the water boil, then put the corn in for 20 minutes! Hope it's good corn.

I definitely boil mine longer than 5 minutes too. Never really timed it, but I poke a couple kernels with a fork and if it goes in ok, then it's done. We like it tender but not soft/mushy.

I steam mine more so than boil, I just put in less water. A full pot takes about 20 minutes to be ready for our taste. (and I do add a little sugar to the water)

only three minutes!! bring your water to a boil, drop in your corn on the cob and it only takes 3 minutes! I saw that on some Chef show!! I taste great!

About 5 to 10 minutes. And this hasn't anything to do with corn, but with pasta, I bring the water to a full boil, drop the pasta in (any kind of pasta), bring back to a full boil, cut the burner off, cover the pot, and leave the pasta alone til I'm ready for it. Works like a charm every time.

MMM, it was yummy. I was fooling around on the computer and it ended up being about 10 minutes. It was just right.
