First of all, let me welcome you and thank you for deciding to become a member of our message board! We look forward to getting to know you and seeing some of your fabulous creations!

I am a true believer in free speech and want to create an environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings without the fear of being "warned" or "banned". However, to prevent the board from getting too out of control, we must enforce a few simple guidelines.

Content
---------------------------------------------------
The 'Stamp Shack' is considered a family environment. Explicit language, abusive and hurtful behaviour, defamation of character, personal attacks, or inappropriate images will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove any offensive material and action may be taken to prevent further offenses. Defamation of character and public personal attacks will result in immediate banning.

Links
---------------------------------------------------
Links and references to manufacturers, magazines and even other stamping websites are completely acceptable at The Stamp Shack. We do require you to link back to us. You may use the code below:

Blogs and Personal Websites
---------------------------------------------------
Craft Blogging has taken the internet by storm and has quickly become the 'in' thing to do. We understand that you work hard on your blogs and want everyone to visit but please keep in mind that not all members enjoy blog hopping and some become extremely frustrated when they see posts such as 'Visit my blog for more information on this project'. Because of this, we have put a few restrictions on how you may advertise your blogs.

Links to personal websites and blogs are permitted in your signatures only.

Blog advertising is allowed provided that you do your advertising in the 'Blog Your Heart Out' (http://stamp-shack.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=139) forum only. If a blog is advertised outside of this designated forum, the post will be moved to the 'Blog Your Heart Out' forum by our staff members.

We do allow blog advertising in the gallery but it is imperative that you provide a direct link to the image/project that is being displayed. Users who wish to view your project do not want to have to scroll though, quite possibly, months of posts to find the project they are looking for. If the blog link in your gallery post is not specific to the project being displayed, the link will be removed, no questions asked.

Business Advertising - Both Personal and Non-Personal
----------------------------------------------------------
Let's face it, all stampers love to be enabled and love to hear about a cool new stamp or product so, with this is mind, we do allow you to advertise products and specials offered by companies that you are not affiliated with. However, we DO NOT allow you to advertise your own business or products that you personally sell. The reason for this is simple. If we allowed everyone to advertise their businesses at free will, our forum would turn into a massive billboard.

Personal business links (ie. Stampin' Up Demo Sites, Etsy Sites) are allowed in signatures only. Advertising of specials and product promotions is stricly prohibited (ie. buy one, get one free). If promotions are posted, they will be removed.

If you would like to have your business/website featured on the main page of of our website, please contact ShackHost for more information.

CAPS and Punctuations
---------------------------------------------------
NO SHOUTING PLEASE! Subject must not be in all capital letters.
No excessive use of punctuation!!!???!!???!?!??!?!?!??!??!?!
These types of posts will either be edited or deleted by our moderators.

Polls
---------------------------------------------------
We currently allow polls in most forums. Polls will be removed if they are idiotic and irrelevant. e.g. John Doe makes a poll titled "Who's da man?" and put his name in the options. Polls like "What's the juiciest kind of carrot???" are not productive to this website and will be deleted.

Photo Posting Guidelines
---------------------------------------------------
So many websites these days are multi-dimensional. It is hard to find a card making website that does not also dabble in the scrapbooking side of things. While we understand that these two crafts are similar and the cross-over between the two is quite easy, we feel that they are two uniquely different crafts. Because of this, 'The Stamp Shack' will cater exclusively to the art of rubber stamping and card making. What does this mean? Well, in a nut shell, it means that if your project is not a greeting card OR if it isn't hand stamped in some way, it cannot be posted to the gallery or swap board.

Here is a list (not necessarily complete) of what is allowed on our website:

Greeting Cards
Altered Items
Paper Crafts
6x6 Recipe Pages
Circle Journals
ATCs

We do NOT allow traditional scrapbook pages to be posted anywhere on our website. This includes 8x8, 10x10, and 12x12.

Our gallery is reserved for craft related photos only. We do NOT allow personal photos (ie. your pets, children, vacation photos, etc.) to be posted in our gallery.

Any posts made to our gallery and/or swap board which does not adhere to the above mentioned guidelines will be removed by the Stamp Shack staff.

Swap Board
---------------------------------------------------
We have an amazing swap board in place at The Stamp Shack and invite and encourage everyone to participate. Please note that we have a 'No Flaker' policy in effect. Anyone caught flaking on a swap will have their Shack Plus membership revoked (membership fees will not be refunded).

Please see the swap board for a full list of rules and guidelines.

A word about Perfectionists

Perfectionists are swap hostesses that will RETURN your cards to you, unswapped, because they feel that your cards are not up to their standards. This kind of behavior is hurtful and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED on this website. If you do not wish to receive cards from stampers of every level, please do not participate in our swaps. Returning a participant's cards due to "lack of workmanship" is grounds for banning from The Stamp Shack website.

Use of our Buy & Sell Forums
---------------------------------------------------
Our Shack Marketplace is open to Shack Plus members only.

Most of the time, sales and trades go pretty smoothly. Sometimes, however, transactions don't go always go as planned and, for whatever reason, someone is either out their merchandise or cash. If you are involved in a sale or a trade that has gone bad and you have exhausted every possible avenue that you can think of (ie: emailing and/or phoning the seller), you can contact The Stamp Shack administrator for assistance. While The Stamp Shack staff are NOT responsible for any sales or trades conducted on this website we will attempt to contact the negligent party on your behalf to try to resolve the issue peacefully.

It should be noted that any individual knowingly committing an act of fraud will banned from this website, no questions asked.

By conducting in sales on this website, you are doing so at your own risk. For your own safety, you should not send merchandise to any buyer until payment has been received in full.

---------------------------------------------------

Thank You for your cooperation and we hope you enjoy your stay!
