A fun and fast way to make carmel corn using a grocery paper bag.
I tried this last Sunday and my family loved it.

Put 3 1/2 L popped corn in a large paper bag (remove all uppopped kernels)

Take
1/2 cup melted margarine ( I use Nucoa)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/4 cup cornsyrup

Add 1/2 t. baking power and stir it in the mixture and pour over popcorn in the bag. Close and shake. Microwave 2 min. Take it out and shake again. Cook for another minute checking ever 15 seconds. It will start to burn very quickly.

Enjoy!

Good questions. The recipe calls for powder but whan I was making it I didn't catch that and I used soda. Next time I'll try powder and see if it makes a difference.

I was thinking I read this recipe somewhere else and it said baking soda, so that's why I asked.
