If you don't want to make Pear Butter or Persevers, take them to a food pantry. I am sure they could use them. Glinda

BUBLANINA- ( a genuine Czech recipe)

2 cups self raising flour
1 cup icing sugar
4 eggs
1 carton ( 300ml ) whipping cream
lemon rind (optional )
pinch salt ( optional )
Fruit of choice - fresh or drained canned (pears, peeled and sliced thickly)

Combine all ingredients except fruit in a bowl with a wooden spoon, pour into a greased and floured pan, aprox size 24cm x 30cm.
Arrange fruit all over and bake in oven at 160-180 C (320F to 350F) for about 45-50 minutes. Do not use apricots as they are heavy and sink. For great results use pears, blueberries, strawberries, mullberries, peaches or cherries

The last time I had Bublanina I used Strawberries and it was HEAVEN! My 14 yr old son made it too. Always tastes better when you ddn't have to make it yourself!
