that if you put a few drops of something acidic like lemon juice or vinegar in the boiling water before you add the pasta it won't stick together?? I read that in the Sunday Paper. I thought it was olive oil you should add but the article said that the acid does something to the starch and keeps the pasta from sticking together. How about that!?:nod:

Never heard of that before. I'll have to give it a try next time I cook pasta! :yes:

I've always put a drop of olive oil in the water and never had a problem with sticking but I'll give the ole lemon juice or vinegar a try next time.

I have never heard of that either. cool.
I have heard to add vinigar to the water you boil eggs in though. it keeps the shells from cracking..or something
