View Full Version : I Didn't Get the Job

Boo hoo for me, I didn't get that job I wanted. I heard back today, and they told me who they hired. It was an internal posting, so everyone who applied already works there. I am sure that this guy is more qualified with experience relevant to the job. I would have been great at it, but I would have had to learn a few things that he probably already knows. I'm ok with it. It would have been nice, but this just tells me that I have more to do where I'm at. I truely believe that everything happens for a reason in life, and it is my job to keep learning whatever it is that I need to learn wherever I'm at.

I'm so sorry, Mary. I think I know how you feel. Keep your chin up and I'm sure something even more interesting for you will come along.

Thanks, Joanne, I bet you probably do understand. Except that I do already have a great job. I really am not all that upset about it because I am thankful every day that I have a stable job in this terrible economy.

Sorry Mary but at least you do like your current job-yes having a fairly secure job is very important now! Best of luck in the future for something else.

I'm sorry that it didn't go your way, this time around, Mary. Hang in there.

Well that stinks. Maybe it just wasn't right for you and God has other things planned. Sometimes what we want isn't always what God has planned for us. I"m sure there is a reason for you not getting it. Sending you big hugs! ((((HUGS))))

I do believe in fate, so I bet there was a good reason! Hang in there and see what door opens up for you.

It was cool that they asked you to interview for it in the first place. That means someone thinks well of you and there is always a chance again in the future!

You have a wonderful attitude Mary and I too believe that these things happen for a reason so, here's to keeping that window of opportunity open for the next thing!

Mary, sometimes events like these make us appreciate the jobs we do have even more. I've been at my job for almost 20 years and there was a time when I looked to make a move. For lots of reasons it didn't work out -- and I came to appreciate my company even more.

Good luck to you -- and by all means keep your eyes open -- and I respect your attitude about making the most of what you've got now.
