My sister went to the saddest memorial yesterday

It was at her son's high school. 5 boys were out late at night and they were hurrying to get home to make curfew. I think she said FL law curfew is 11 pm for 16 year old drivers. Anyway, it was 11:05 and they passed a car, lost control and hit a tree. 4 of the boys died (all 16 and 17 years old), including the driver. Only the driver was wearing a seatbelt. The boy who was flown furthest from his seat is still in critical condition. She said the football field was full of kids and everyone was crying. They showed a slideshow and she said it was a wake up call to everyone there how life can be over in a split second.

how tragic and so so sad! We have lost several teenagers from our high school in the past 5 years to car wrecks. Our PTSA and the YOVASO Club constantly provide information to the students on safe driving and consequences.

Oh goodness! I can't even imagine... I don't know how parents can even breathe when a child dies...as I know some women on here have probably suffered. So sad.

That is very sad and horrible. Interesting how most of them were not wearing a seatbelt. I never leave home without mine on.

As my boys get older I seem to hear more of these stories. Maybe it is just because they didn't stick out as much when they were toddlers.

My oldest turn 16 this month but he has no desire to get his license. I am OK with that, LOL!

It makes me cry hearing this. These parents are experiencing all of ours worst fear. I'll add these families and the students at their school to my prayer list.
