Get your distress supplies out and brighten them up for spring. I've made a video tutorial of this technique that you can watch. Basically, use your lighter or brighter colors to make a distress project with a spring twist. Anything you are inspired to make from this technique is perfect. Here is a link to the video tutorial. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVDCNpSiZx4) Be sure to label your challenge with IAP8 when posting your entry in the gallery (http://stamp-shack.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=634). I'm putting together a little prize package of distress goodies to share with one randomly chosen participant. You can enter more than once in this challenge.

Pam (smileycollector) is our randomly chosen winner. Thanks to everyone who played. Each entry was gorgeous.

Wow bright springtime distressing sounds wonderful as I am watching big buckets of snow falling at the moment. Oh I am so ready for spring! Thanks for a great challenge Tami!

Love your video Tami! This is a technique I've never tried. It will be a real challenge for me, but I'll see if I can do it! :)

Here is my card. It was tougher than I expected because I don't have a distressing gadget - so I had to use sand paper instead. By the time I was finished sanding and generally roughing up the edges, that bottom left corner wouldn't lie flat because it was so distressed! Maybe it's time to go shopping again.

Hmmm, I started to do this in oranges and yellows, but it just didn't work out the way I wanted, so I changed to black with gold. Hope her red hair and this coilour scheme fit for your challenge Tami!

Oh WOW! I finally watched your video Tami. Amazing Job. I have Nick Bantock inks, and never knew they were distress inks. I think I might even have the same colours you used in your video!!! Definately going to play with them today. I don't have a craft sheet yet, like you used, but I know I can do the same thing on a sheet of acetate (just a tip for anyone else without a craft sheet)

I am not much of a down & dirty kind of a stamper so I hope that this still qualifies. I distressed the edges of the cardstock.

I just have to say that your creations are so inspirational. I love seeing all the different takes on this technique and distress in general. There's still one more day if anyone else wants to play.

Here is my Springy Disressed card. (And BTW, if you were my craft sheet, where would you be hiding???) I had to use the backing off my Xyron sheet since I could not find my craft sheet. It worked and less mess to clean up!

This was my last card, I have completed all the challenges! My house is a mess, my hair needs to be combed and the children are looking a little peckish!! :)

LOL Heather! I laughed out loud when I read this. I'm lucky that my family has been gone overnight fishing out on the ocean. It's only me here to feed. Thanks so much for playing.

And with almost an hour to spare! :>:> I made the background yesterday, but wasn't sure I would be able to get it assembled today, but yay!, I did!! :>
HERE (http://stamp-shack.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=22191&limit=recent) is my IAP8 card! Thanks Tami! I saw your tutorial before, but the challenge got me motivated to get to it. I forgot to add the water, so it turned out a little different, but I love swishing my paper around in the ink! Actually, without the water, it feels almost like suede. Very cool. Thank you again for both the tutorial and the challenge, Tami! :>
