My hubby & I got into a HUGE discussion today. I need input from y'all & your hubbys, male significant others and/or grown children. My hubby maintains that NO hetrosexual man would wear an argyle sweater. Socks are ok but not sweaters. What is the consensus. I think my dh is CRAZY!! I like argyle sweaters but I'm not a hetro man! LOL

LOL!!! There are lots of hetrosexual males who wear these sweaters. Mostly they are "preppie" but they wear them. I like them too Suzi!

my husband says that he probably would not because it's not his style, but he does work with guys that wear them...................

Oh, men and the sweater dilemma. I think it's really hard for men to pull off sweaters in general. It is so easy to look like a big dork no matter what the print of the sweater.

My husband won't wear one as he won't wear sweaters at all, but my ds does. My ds went to an Ivy league school and LOTS of guys there (and their dads) wore them...I think they can look really nice. I have actually started to see more and more hip young guys wearing them as well. If you look at an Urban Outfitters catalogue, you'll see lots of them there.
(By the way, this question does NOT count as stupid)

I married an old preppie, so yes a finely knit v neck argyle sweater is something he wears, but not often.

My father will wear one once in a while. I think he looks good in it. Hugs, Heather

I bought my DH one from Banana Republic for Christmas and I think he looks HOT in it! And, at my SIL's b-day party last wkend in New York both of my BIL's had on high v-neck sweaters w/ t-shirts and they both are very GOOD looking guys. Well, one is gay so, that might explain it. LOL :)

My dh loves sweaters, so no problem. We see lots of these style of sweaters on the golf course too.

My dh doesn't wear them, infact I think the only time I've seen anyone wear one in Australia was to a fancy dress party--- but I don't move in "preppy" circles, and I actually don't mind them myself- they always look so classy

My DH would never wear one, but my DS has a cute little sweater vest I found at Old Navy last year. He likes it.

I gotta agree my DH would NEVER wear one. But he is Mr Blue Collar all the way so I am not sure he is a good judge of sweaters.
