Just curious to see how the demos felt about the stamp set we received for free in December. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews but loved the stamp set myself. I have already created tons of samples using this set and absolutely LOVE it.

I'll jump in and say that I totally appreciate what Shelli did. The set is personally not my style, but that's fine. It was free and who's going to complain about a free gift??? Once I get it put together (see, I procrastinate when I don't "love" the set), I'm sure it will challenge me to think outside my box. : )

Do yall always get free sets in December? That's friendly.

Have you made anything with it? Can we see?

No, we don't always get free sets. This is actually only the second set I've gotten free from Shelli in the 6 years I've been a demo. The last free set was when there were tons of issues with SU moving their facilities and it caused a lot of problems (shipping, customer service issues, etc.).

I was pleasantly surprised by the free set....but sorry to say I haven't had time to play with it. It's cute though.

I don't think we're allowed to post it since it is a set that will be in the upcoming spring mini catty. It was a nice surprise from Shelli though and I do like the set. I haven't mounted mine yet though.

HI

I like the new set that Shelli sent to us as our christmas gift. Although with Sell-A-Bration and being away over christmas I haven't had time to play with the set. When I do I think I will be making lots of cards and scrapbook pages with it.

I like the new set too, but have not had a chance to play with it as I am trying to get samples of the Sell-A-Bration sets done.

There is a whole huge gallery of stuff over at splitcoast http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=8673, so I doubt you all will get into trouble.

I love the set. I started out by making a card with it, and I have started on an altered tin. I have to learn to think outside of my personal likes box. And being a SU Demo has me doing that. I am surprised when I make something I love out of a stamp set I wouldn't normally purchase for myself.

I'll have to upload my card to the gallery in a few.

This is my problem! I spend so much time looking at the awesome examples and never get my own started. I did one tonight using Delight in Life. 4 more sets to go.

We used this set to make a card at a Stamp Camp that I went to recently--and I liked it. I'm not a Demo, but this camp's purpose was to try and recruit new Demos--it was fun, but I didn't sign up.

I have a card in my gallery that I used this set with. Its a bird birthday card. It says, "Its your birthday, so strut your stuff". Glinda

I haven't mounted mine yet. Not quite sure about it - but I'm not complaining as it was free after all.

I really didn't care for it at first, but once I opened it up and started playing around, it grew on me really quickly. I think it has a lot of possibilities! If you check some of the galleries, you'll see some of the gals doing cool things with the paisley image, like turning it into flowers and baby chicks! very creative stuff!

I love it, and have made a couple of things with it. There are many samples shown using that set on another public stamping site (actually, I saw one on this site this morning, too). Not sure if it's proper for me to post the name of that other site here.... so I'll refrain until someone says it's ok.

Also, if I may, I'd like to clarify that although this is only the second time Shelli has actually just sent us a free set for no reason (meaning, we didn't do anything to earn it), we do have the opportunity to earn free sets and other supplies frequently throughout the year (Great Rewards, etc.). I can't count how much free product I've earned as a demonstrator. I just love this company!
