I'm thinking of selling some cards I made to raise money for my church. We have a craft show in early November.

What should I charge? I was thinking $1.00/ea but that doesn't seem like much considering the work that goes into them.
Would $2.00 each be too much? Is it better to sell them in sets or individually?
What do you think?

I sell some cards in a hair salon. I charge $3 each for them. The salon's owner is a client of mine ( I do her bookkeeping ) so she doesn't keep any of the $3, she very kindly gives me all the profits.
I've also sold cards to family and friends before. I used to feel badly about accepting money from my family, but as my daughter pointed out - she would have to buy the cards from somewhere, so it might as well be me.
It is nice to have a little money towards my habit.
I also donate a lot of cards to a local charity. They sell them for $2 each as a fundraiser.

i sell mine. depends on how many someone buys. i usually charge $2.50 for less than 10 and $2 for ten. still seems a little low. way cheaper than hallmark!

$1 is definately not enough!

So maybe I should sell them for $2.50/ea or $20 for 10. It is for a good cause.

I sold a couple of racks-full to a store.
I think they paid me $2.50/card.
I have made them for friends also and charged $2.50-3.00.
There is a woman I never met who calls me and special orders cards.
She pays me with cash that she mails to me...usually $5.00 each. She knows I have to make them in a hurry sometimes and then pay postage to get them to her, so she is very generous!
Good luck.
I think the price depends on the size and how detailed the layout is.

I sell my cards all the time for $2 each. It is too much for some and not enough for others, but it all works out in the end I think.

yep, I sold some at my garage sale a few weeks ago for $2.00 each and one lady asked me for a business card too! Good thing I just had some printed!

I think it depends on the card and how lumpy, detailed or otherwise time you have into it...

I have done a craft bazaar table for a couple day's last year and will do it again this Nov. most of mine were priced between 4.00 - 12.00 and most of what sold was in the 5.00/6.50 ish range. (but very few of my cards are A-2 in size) so?

the average run it through an machine hallmark is about 3.00 now a days, so to me the fact that you are making them means 1.00 or 2.00 is way too cheap. ( you'd be better off donating money to them then giving them the cards for a fund raiser at that price is what I'm, thinking)

I sell gobs at $2. I figure I'm not really "making" much money, but I make cards if they sell or not, so it's all profit in my mind. I don't make anything for the purpose of selling. I just make what I feel like making, then I have a few people who like to look through what I make and buy some. They are all family or close friends though. I might charge $3 for strangers?
