I was given a jar of Baby Butterfinger cupcake mix in a Mason jar. I'm guessing they added the baby part cause it was a baby shower favor. All that was required extra was 1 1/4 C water and 1/2 C oil and 3 eggs. It was a chocolate cake mix base(well it looked like it was) and there were chocolate chips and crushed up Butterfingers in the jar as well. That's it. They were very good, super moist. I made them for the family this past weekend and everyone loved them. Of course am I going to be able to find this recipe ever again?

The jar had gotten passed on to me by a coworker who had gotten it from her mom who had gotten it as a shower favor so the chances of me even finding the person who originally made them up are pretty slim.

I've just spent about 40 minutes looking for it online. Wondering if somebody has a cookbook with mix in a jar recipes that might include it? Grasping at straws here people! My assorted family members will love you.

Thanks for looking!

Kathy, one of my favorite food blogs, Annie's Eats, posted this recipe for Butterfinger Cupcakes: http://annies-eats.net/2010/10/22/butterfinger-cupcakes/

I realize this isn't in a jar recipe that you are looking for but I do think Annie has wonderful recipes.

HOWEVER, I did find THIS recipe for Butterfinger cupcakes and I don't see why this couldn't easily be converted to an "in the jar" recipe and give instructions to add the wet ingredients. Here is the link: http://www.squidoo.com/butterfinger-cupcakes-recipe

Did your jar have the frosting instructions/mix included?

These sound so good!

Thank you everyone for the links you found, none of them are the one. There are no liquid ingredients other than some water, oil and eggs. One was close but it had evap milk and no chocolate chips.

I will have to ask my coworker who's shower it was her mom went to, if there is any way she can ask to get the recipe.
