today's words are:
36 July
62 Summer Nights
32 Ice tea
35 Jetski

Though to be honest, having been outside today, I think more appropriate words would have been "Sweltering heat", "heat stroke" and "heat index of 117"!
So, how is your weather out there. The only place I'd rather be is Alaska or in front of an open freezer!

We sure could use a little of that heat here.
It's been pouring with rain for the last two days.
This has been the wettest spring and summer that I can ever recall. All the plants in the garden are loving it, but it is so soggy and wet, that even when it isn't raining - it's just too muddy to work in the garden.
I'm not looking for a heat wave or heatstroke - just a little sunshine would do.

only 1 match today :(
although here in southern Ontario, all of your alternate words match 100%
I could also add "unbearable

chris I'd be happy to send "some" of this weather your way, if you could send "some of your rain" our way. I'm tired of watering my plants all the time!

We had another sunny day, certainly not unbearable but I really didn't need to go too far anyway outside. Car, gym, car, air conditioned house!

Around my way it was 103. This is our second day of extreme heat. It's suppose to be pretty hot again tomorrow. The weatherman are predicting some rain next week. We need it!

Hang in their Christie. I don't know how many each person has, but it's still early in the game. Shelly, I hope your weatherman is more accurate than ours. It always seems the evening forecasters are more accurate than the morning ones. But it's usually because the morning forecasters are predicting, while the evening forecasters are recaping!:twitcy:

I totally agree with you with the weatherman, about re-capping the weather forecast at night. Lately, it seems that the weatherman are not quite right about the weather. There have been times in the past, telling us that rain showers are going to happen and not a drop of rain touches the ground.

I don't remember this heat being this bad as a youngster.

I think it's more that we're not that young anymore Shelley. My youngest had no issues going out in the heat. It was me that kept making him stay in!

I'm holding strong at 4 words, LOL! It is HOT! We may have set a record today. Usually low 90's is extreme around here but last I was in town the thermometer said 100 even...blech!

Dee hang in there. As I said in an earlier thread, I've often held the last position for days on end, only to be either the winner or one word short of being the winner at the end.

We aren't having very nice summer-y weather here in the Pacific NW. Finally this weekend is supposed to be 80ish, but mostly it has been cloudy and rainy.

I saw on the news this morning that you folks were actually chilly up the in the NW. The today show said that you guys were the only chilly spot around today. I think we all need to come to your house to visit for a few days!

I totally agree about not being as young as we used to be! I hibernate in the house with the a/c on.

So glad you're home and can join the game. You might have more words then some of the other ladies here! Hopefully your recovery won't be too long.
