This is Kirsty's original post with the recipe: http://stamp-shack.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43474

I asked my brother about this, he said you can get both almond flour- finer texture and almond meal in grocery stores, generally where the organic or gluten free products are sold. His problem with that is products made from nuts if they aren't very fresh(which really how much of this stuff can they sell?) can go bad from the oils getting rancid. And it is super pricey, he said a 12 oz bag usually runs 11.00 or so.

He gets his at www.americanalmond.com which is a larger quantity, but cheaper and fresh as well and then stores it in the freezer.

Hope this helps somebody.

Thanks for the heads up. I still wonder if something else can be substituted. I store all my nuts in the freezer

I wonder if you can find this type of flour at Whole Foods or even A Trader Joes, if anyone has these stores near them.
