I'm going to a party with my zumba class next week @ our zumba studio (just a big room, nothing fancy) and it's a hat party (i have my hat picked out). But we need to bring finger food that can be served room temperature... I have lots of sweet recipe ideas, but am looking for something that's not a dessert. Any ideas? I know you guys will come up with some great suggestions.

How about some spinach dip in a hollowed out round rye bread?

I like cheddar cheese cut up and fresh buttered raisin or brown bread.

Betty, I found this recipe on Pinterest and it sounds really good. I'm going to try it myself. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/5-layer-greek-dip-51322.aspx

Here's a dukkah recipe (http://makebread.com.au/homemade-dukkah-recipe/)for you Betty.
I buy mine premade from the supermarket, but basically it is nuts, seeds and spices ground/chopped finely.
I break the Turkish bread into bitesize pieces. Partygoers dunk the bread into a pot of olive oil then dip into the dukkah . I also include a pot of balsamic vinegar for dipping.

This also makes a great homemade gift at Christmas time. I usually give it with a small bottle of flavoured olive oil. It lasts about a month, but we always eat it quicker than that.
