Hi everyone,
I just wanted to make everyone aware of some newly implemented security features of The Stamp Shack website. These changes will really only affect new users (Junior Members).
Because our member profiles contain sensitive data such as full names, addresses and birthdates, profiles will NOT be accessible to Junior members. I know this is an inconvenience to some of you but I think it is important to protect our member's private information as much as possible. If you would like full access to the website, you must have at least 20 posts to our forum and/or gallery.
In light of spammers targeting forums/vbulletin communities in recent weeks, I have decided to install spam protection software. This software will monitor the posts of JUNIOR MEMBERS ONLY and will scan the messages for spam related words (ie. words/links typically used to describe porn, pharmaceutical ads, etc.). If a Junior Member were to post such a message, the message will automatically be sent to the moderation queue and will not be posted to the board. Our moderators can then delete the post without anyone having ever seen the post.
I hope this added security does not offend anyone. I'm just trying to create a safe place for us all to enjoy.
Cheers!
