I use two of them....moonlight white & graphite black. The white shows up really well on medium to dark CS. The black is the very best black ink IMO. I got rid of the yucky black SU pad....never looked good to me. I love them.

I have a bunch of these because I like the colors and the packaging is pretty. They work well for me :)

I think them because they tend to be pearlescent. The only thing is...they smear if you don't heat set them.

I love using the blues for snowflakes - there is a little pearly sheen to them that makes things look pretty.

I'm a distress DTP maniac so I use them to distress my paper. I also stamp with them. They are "sticky" pads so the ink takes a while to dry. I haven't had to heat set mine though, just let it sit for a bit.

I just picked up a graphite black one this afternoon, but then put it back down because I couldn't remember if we all had talked about these ink pads or not...isn't this the same one that everybody recommends that you Stamp Sherry's Santa Stamp Image in?

I have 4 Brilliance ink pads: pink, blue, white & coffee. I'm going to get the Graphite Black one though. I love the look of them so shimmery.
The one suggested for the Santa image is the Versafine Ink pad. Just ordered 2 of those: sepia and onyx black (for now).

These produce wonderful shimmery colors on glossy paper, vellum and actate. They actually dry quickly on these materials and therefore are not particuliarly good for embossing. I love my trio colors that are great for making backgrounds with the brayer.
My gold, silver and white are getting a workout this season!

Could you elaborate a bit on how you use these for backgrounds? I have silver, white & black as separate pads. Would love to have a new way to use them with a brayer on??? Thanks

Hi Tami!
I am using lots of white brillance snowflakes stamped on my backgrounds and of course silver and gold can be used with any holiday stamp repeated stamped background including holiday words.
I brayer the trio colors onto glossy paper for background behind my winter tree scenes. I'll try to post some pics in the gallery this weekend.

I have a lot of Brilliance pads and love them. Be careful because there are two types, Brilliance and Brilliance pearlescent, the pearlescent and metallic are absolutely gorgeous and because they are pigment they can be embossed.
I have some large pads and some of the dew drops and I absolutely love the dew drops (they are the small pads). So my advice would be some of the pearlescent dew drops to see if you like them, they are less than $3 each!
My favourites are platinum, copper, rust/gold and olive.
I am an ink pad addict though, so I love anything! :D
I'll just go and make a card with Sherry's Santa image and a Brilliance pad and I'll see what I come up with, I'll post it here when I've uploaded it! :)
Here is the card
Pearlescent Santa (http://stamp-shack.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=499&cat=527)
and the one thing I discovered is that you need the full-size pad for this image, the little pad (dew drop) gets in all the places it shouldn't.
Sorry for the poor quality of photo. Also, the photo doesn't really capture how shiny this is in real life, it is soft and shimmery.
I will definitely go back and do some more with brilliance inks! :)

Oh Alli thanks so much for sharing!! Santa is wonderful in Brilliance ink. I have not seen any of the dew drop pads locally so I was glad to hear your thoughts.
If anyone else has used dew drops I would like to hear more on favorite colors. I put 2 examples of using the Brilliance Trio Inks in the gallery. I would love to see more examples.
Thanks for sharing!...Jan

I had one and I didn't even know it. I just bought a Brilliance Dew Drop in Pearlescent Sky Blue and I love it!! I used it for a swap on another board. Here is the link to my stamped "sack" that I used it on!! The big blue shimmery snowflake is the one that I used it on!!

Not sure if you're going to check the gallery or here... so I'll post my reply to your post on my snowflake sack!! :) Thanks!!
Hi Suzi!! Thanks for looking and the kind words. I definitely need some more brilliance pads. They are my new favorite thing... I think!! ;) And for the heat and stick... I heat mine up pretty well... stick the glitter on right away... and sometimes I leave it as is... or I re-heat it with the glitter on and then I push (a little) the glitter in with my fingers to really make it stick (a trick that Jane/Whoopsie Daisy taught me). ;) HTH!! I've tried it that way too. Sometimes the glitter stays on, sometimes it doesn't. I've seen ads for a sticky stamp pad that glitter will stick to w/o being heated. Just not seen it in the stores yet.

I think I'm in love with these inks... I didn't use much outside of SU while I was a demo... but now that I'm on my own again... I am experimenting!! I loooooove these inks. :)

Lisa
