Deborah, I know you use them on your cards as well as a few other ladies. Can you tell me where you find Swarovski crystals? I'm probably looking right at them and miss them.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I know that I bought a package of the Swarovski crystals at Michaels in the scrapbooking area.

I have bought them at AC's, Jo's, and Wally World. They are sometimes in the beading section. My LSS also carries them. Do you have a specific project in mind for them?

they are in the beading section at the stores here. I think they call them flat-back crystals.

I thought Zwarovski Crystals were super expensive and collectable? Yall are using those on cards? Like REAL crystals? Or crystal cut glass or plastic? How much are they?
are those like the latest "blings"?

I saw them in the beading section at Joann's. I don't think the spelling is correct above? not sure about it...swarkovski, maybe. I bet you get them at Joanns online, too.
I get mine from StarLitStudio (http://stores.ebay.com/StarLitStudio) she sells an assorted pack of them for under $5 - you can see them here (http://cgi.ebay.com/Swarovski-crystals-faceted-flat-backed-pastel-colors_W0QQitemZ330042260101QQcategoryZ37578QQtcZp hotoQQcmdZViewItem). They are SOOOO pretty in real life!!! It's really hard not to hoard them ;)

I bought a package along with my stamps from Outlines. I wish I had ordered bigger ones, though, these are really small! It is hard to glue and place them. What size do you all buy?

I was hoping for a wide variety of sizes. What type of glue did you use for the teeny, tiny, itsy bitsy ones, Mary?

They do come in a variety of colors and sizes. Here is a link to M's selection (http://www.michaels.com/art/online/search?pageNumber=1&channel=0&search=yes&keywords=Swarovski&type=0&x=18&y=12). Generally I have only used the plastic gems that come with a glue dot on the back for paper crafting. But these sure are pretty for speciality projects. ARS (http://www.addictedtorubberstamps.com) also has a variety if you search "crystal"
I have read of others using crystal effects to adhere them. But I would think that is kinda tricky if the gem slides at all you would have obvious spot on your paper.
Let us know what you learn!....Jan

I used Aleene's Tacky Glue and a toothpick....very labor intensive!

I have used diamond glaze and a toothpick for some crystals/gems that I attached.

Again, thanks for all of the great links, tips and advice. I do now remember where I saw them in Michaels now that I see the link. I'll check them out the next time I'm there.
Jennifer :)
ok, now I know what they are. Thanks for sharing.

Seriously I thought you had all gone crazy.
Dollar Tree has those ones yall are talking about, they are... well.. a dollar. They only have one variety it's clear, pink and purple. They are self adhesive.

Sorry I didn't see this thread till now.
I buy most of mine from Outlines, Mandy's prices are excellent, the quality is superb and they're genuine Swarovski's. I always buy the largest size (16), and the majority I buy are clear. I have several other colours, but find myself using the clear ones most often.
I apply mine with the blue "Quickie" glue pen by Sakura...perfect!
I also pick up a package EVERY single time I'm at Michael's doing a demo or a , I just can't let a 40% off coupon go to waste. (lol)class. When there's nothing else I *have* to buy.
I bought mine from http://astralbeads.com/. I bought the #16 size--mostly in clear, but also some in colors. They are gorgeous. I used the matte Perfect Paper Adhesive to attach them. I'm going to try that glue pen; it sounds perfect.
