technique on a snowman image?? I was thinking of playing around with this, & thenwondered if any of yiou have & how you liked it!:)

I was just reading about it somewhere thinking I wonder how that comes out and i was too chicken to try it.

I love the cracked glass technique. I haven't done it with a snowman, but I did do it on this card

The things I learned:
1. It is much easier to do it with clear UTEE, but if you don't have UTEE clear embossing powder is fine.
2. YOu need at least 3 layers for UTEE, 6 for normal embossing powder
3. YOu need to leave it in the freezer for at least 20 minutes
4. It is much easier to put a layer of versamark between each layer of embossing powder rather than trying to pour more embossing powder on top of the just melted layer
5. It is sooooooo much fun! :)
I'm now off to do it with a snow globe stamp that I have thanks for the inspiration Cindi! :)

I agree Alli. I made my card using 3 layers of UTEE and it worked out great. Very easy and fun procedure. Here's how my card turned out.

Joanne, your card is amazing, I love the very modern buckle with the historical stamping, it looks great. Wonderful job!
