I did a little paper piecing tonight. I think this is my new favorite technique!

Love the piercing....I took a class from Zana Clark (Zia) and I'm loving some of the watercolor techniques she taught....g
This is an interesting question for me. Since December, I've been feeling very burnt out with life, in general. I was working on this big cardmaking project that I had to finish in the middle of the Holidays. I don't think I've completely recovered from that stress. All of my cards, since the New Year, have been simply stamping, paper piecing and coloring. Don't get me wrong. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with just simply stamping on a piece of white cardstock, coloring it, and placing it on a folded card. And, I see nothing wrong with using a variety of patterned papers to make a card, also. My point is, it is SO NICE.....S-O-O-O-O-O NICE....to return to some of "the basics." In the end, I've been rather happy with being able to 'just create.' I don't feel like I have to make my brain overthink a project. I've just been letting things flow, and whatever or however a card has come out, I've been pretty happy with it. Oooohhh....and I wanted to add that I now am in love with Magnolias, AMuse and Sugar Nellies.

I am with Ethel, I am loving that I am "back to basics", however, I do love a technique here & there, but mainly, just give me something to color

I like paper piecing, but can't seem to come up with alot of ideas on it. Well maybe that should be a goal of mine for my next set of cards I make.
