BBQ Lima Beans

3/4 c light brown sugar
3/4 c ketchup
1/3 c dark corn syrup
1 tbsp liquid smoke
5 drops hot sauce (what ever flavor suits you)
1 medium onion (diced)
3 lg cans lima beans (drained)
4 slices bacon

mix all ingredients together until well blended. Place in baking dish. Lay bacon over the top. Bake 2 hours at 325 degrees.


Ladies...this seriously tastes just like baked beans.

So if I do not care for regular lima beans, do you think I might like this? I'm willing to try it .... btw, I LOVE baked beans

I don't like them either Sherri..but I was polite and took a taste with my eyes closed and I would never know the difference. They are just larger than baked beans in size.

Thanks so much for this recipe. I do like lima beans but the rest of my family does not. They all like baked beans so I am planning to give this one a try.

I might make this in 3 weeks when my MIL comes for her 85th b-day. I think she will love it.
