Thread: IAP11 Single Layer Challenge****WINNER****

  1. IAP11 Single Layer Challenge****WINNER****

Loobylou left her challenge with me to post while she is on vacation...but she will be back very soon.

This is a quick challenge for those who are short on time and supplies, or mindful of the looming postage increases.

    MAKE A 1 LAYER CARD-
just a card base (any colour). Do whatever you like to it - stamp, emboss, ink, spray, whatever, but don't add any more layers.

I'd like to see what you can do with a single layer of cardstock, and ink no added embellishments. (although you can see in my ATC sample I did pop up the butterfly)
Please post your card in the gallery and begin your title with IAP11, then come back here and post a link.
    Have Fun!! Loobylou

Great challenge, Sarah. One quick question. Is it ok to add an embellishment such as ribbon or is it one layer of cardstock only?

I'm not sure that I've ever made a single layer card before. But I did one today, and posted it in the gallery too. I found that inking around the edges of the card with the darker ink, helped to give it a little bit more dimension.
    Here is my card.

Single layer cards are not easy Sarah. It must be that we all have too much stuff in our stamp rooms.
    Ok here is my effort.

This was a CHALLENGE and I wasn't so sure I could do it! Seriously, I don't know the last time I made a SINGLE LAYER card! But, I loved it and may start a new trend!
