Thread: My techniques!

    My techniques!

A couple of people are asking about the technique I used for this tag.

Trust me - it was really simple.
I used a piece of a manilla folder to cut out the tag shape. Then I used a sponge to dab on several different colours of dye inks - just randomly until I was happy with the colors. I stamped my image with black Staz -On. When it was dry, I covered the whole piece with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I edged it with Black staz-On for a little dimension, and then matted the tag onto a piece of black cardstock. Of course I added a ribbon and a metal word embellishment that I got at the $$$ store.

    Re: My techniques!

Oh no Chris! You mean now I have to save my manilla envelopes for such a great crafting use?! I reuse them until they are not mailable and then recycle them. But, now you've gone ahead and shown me that I have to save them even longer until I can put scissors and ink to them! DH is gonna cringe.

Thanks for sharing your technique. It really is such a beautiful tag! And I even have a stamp that would look great to use like you did! Do you mind if I do a little case'ing? Stunning!
