Thread: Digital Images?

    Digital Images?

Has anyone ever used a digital image? Instead of a traditional rubber/clear stamp. I ask because I want to do birthday card for our former roommate and I dont want to spend alot of money for geisha girl stamp that I will only use once or twice The digital image is only $3. I'm really torn about it. Anyone have an opinion?

I have just recently discovered digital images and one particular company I just love. In my opinion, if you've found a digi image that fits the bill and you aren't don't want to invest in the cost of a stamp, then go for it.

Here are two cards I've made using digital images:

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff is another option. Most of her stamps are only $1 and she usually emails them to you within one day. Click on the logo in my signature to go to her store! I'm falling in love with digi stamps...Good luck with your card.

I have tried them but I am an ink girl myself. I don't know I think it misses something without the ink on my fingers. I have a few that I couldn't resist because they were so cute, but I mostly stick to the real deal.

I use them ocassionally for just the reason you gave, when I don't want to buy a stamp to make one card or if I can't find a certain type stamp. Two other good ones are digi shack and digiments (all sentiments) I look for free ones, if you keep an eye out you can find them for free. Also, All that Scraps has a digi section.

There is a freebie each week at Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. She designs a special stamp for each person on her DT and each week one of us gives our special stamp away for free. It's a surprise each week and you blog hop to find the freebie. if you go to my craft blog, there's a link to each member's blog.

There are obviously a few things a digi can not do that a stamp can, if you are just going to cut out and colour in your image then a digi will do, same goes for paper pieceing and also decoupage, you can do these with a digi (if you use the digi as a template).

I have created a range of stamps but also give the option of having them as Digi's.

They are a fraction of the price and can be with you within hours.

Have fun experimenting with both and see what you think.
