    Cookie Recipe -Minnesota Munchers

I belong to a yahoo group, whose theme is cookies. I made these today. They were delicious! I'm not sure why it's called what it's called.

    here's the recipe

    1 cup butter, softened
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
    2 1/2 cups of flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 cup milk chocolate chips
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    2/3 cup tofee bits
    1 cup pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 350. Grease two cookie sheets. In a medium bowl,
cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at time, then stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder. Stir in creamed mixture. Fold in milk chocolate, semisweet chips , toffee and pecans. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes in preheated oven.

When I made the cookies , I took a seperate bowl and put the milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate and the tofeee bits added them all together and mixed it by hand. When the cookie batter was ready I just dumped my contents of this bowl into the cookie batter. I also didn't use pecans.

I don't know why they're named that either. I do seem to remember they were a winner from a contest that Reiman Publications ran in one of their magazines and this is what she named her entry. I never did try it, thanks for the heads up!

they sound delish -- and I would probably make a batch with and a batch without pecans...just to see how they taste with the nuts.

They sound yummy. Thanks for the recipe. I would also make a batch with and one without the pecans. One son likes nuts and one doesn't .... trouble is DH and I will probably eat them all anyway!

Oh, they do sound wonderful! I'll HAVE to make them, since I'm from Minnesota! Maybe the person who made up the recipe is from Minnesota. Lots of good stuff here!
