I really hope you get the job, Vicki, I work in the Aussie school system and you can't beat the hours and holidays (11 weeks paid vacation a year). It has fitted in so well with my other "Mum" job. Good Luck.

Well, this position is paid by a state grant. And the current grant is only for the remainder of this school year. But I'm totally fine with that!

UPDATE:

I received a letter from the principal today. They hired someone else. But she highly commended me on the job I've done as a sub.

Oh well, it's nice to know!

sorry about that..but it sounds like you should keep applying fro jobs within that school system as they know & like your work. that at least is something positive
