I have the hiccups. I HATE the hiccups. I keep clicking on the wrong thing because my hand jerks when I hiccup. They normally only last 5 minutes or so, but I get sooo mad at them after just one minute.

A teaspoon of sugar in warm water (just barely wet the sugar) will get rid of them instantly. This is what I do. I think its the sweet meeting the warm that shocks your body.

I rarely get hiccups but when I do they are always those forceful ones- ya know where your head and chest jerk,etc. aye.

My grandmother and mother ALWAYS made us take a spoon full of sugar, but staright no water added! I hated it growing up!
