Does your area have an equivalent to Hodge Podge?

I don't use a recipe but this will give you an idea of what is a VERY popular dish in my area over the summer. It is cooking in restaurants and kitchens all over the place right now, including mine.

I don't put turnip in mine, and when watching calories I use milk or just a little "blend" cream. Not bad for someone who doesn't like veggies!

I havent seen a recipe like this before but now that I am in WA it sounds very good. I like to eat raw turnips, but only little ones, the bigger ones are grainy. - Nancy

Now I guess if I use the expression "It was a hodge podge" of things, meaning "eclectic, mish mash, etc you'll see where I get it from.

I have heard for a "hodge podge" of assorted things, I have perhaps used it myself. Didn't know it was a food and doesn't look like any dish I have seen.
