Re: Stamped canvas video
I only use the MP sometimes cause I have it on hand! It seems to have lasted me forever. I wanted to get some of the gel medium for using with the stamped images onto a canvas but the one I wanted is always out at Michael's and is also 15.99! Definitely need a coupon for that.

Re: Stamped canvas video
Thanks Jan, I really enjoyed that video. I haven't really dipped my toes into the mixed media canvas arena yet. It is all the rage at the LSS though. Now I have seen it done with stamps, I might give it a go.

Re: Stamped canvas video
Okay, got my gesso on my canvasses, went to Michaels, got the gel medium (acts as sealer too- THANKS JAN for the heads up on that). So tomorrow I am going to try some color, painting, napkin and will add so faux string of pearls, lace too maybe we will see.
I am excited about finally getting the canvas unwrapped.
I love watching the videos of the mixed media.
I am just not sure I will be able to know that I have enough stuff on it. I do like the idea of stamping on tissue and having it melt into the canvas.
Stay tune for more details of my project.

Re: Stamped canvas video
Oh Paula, that sounds great. Love the idea of the pearls. You will know it's done when you are happy with it. I have to say so many of the videos I have watched, these ladies put a lot more on them than I ever would. Sometimes less is more. Sometimes more is just more, you know?
I saw one a few months ago while surfing youtube. Loved what she did with the bottom layer and then completely covered it with paint and gesso and it was completely invisible then. She even said that in her narrative and I thought well what was the point of all that then?
