Glad he's doing so well, it's so important to get checked. I have a son that is 45 and whenever I suggest he go for a colonoscopy or a prostate exam he looks at me like I'm nuts (and cancer does run in our family). Well about a month ago he hurt his foot and needed a "regular doctor" for insurance for him to cover him to go to a specialist. Well, the one he went to is very insistant about "all that stuff". So, now he's gonna go and be tested. I believe everything happens for a reason. Hope everyone at your place is feeling great soon. Take care of yourselves!!!

Oh Chris. I am so glad you made him go to the dr. These men don't listen do they?

    Hang in there!!

All is well - there were no complications and he was home within a week.
He saw the surgeon for a checkup just 2 weeks ago and he has been discharged - perfectly OK, and fit for travel thank goodness as we leave on Dec. 3rd for our vacation.
We have 4 days at the Holiday Inn near the cruise port, then our seven day Caribbean cruise, and then 4 days at the Hyatt Pier 66 Resort before we fly home to the cold and snow.
We both love to get away for a couple of weeks during the winter, and are looking forward to it so much.
I am busy getting my Christmas shopping done, as we don't get back to Edmonton until Dec. 19th. and I don't wish to spoil that lovely relaxed feeling by having to head out to the mall!
Thank you all for your good wishes, it's lovely to think of you all sending out your prayers and happy thoughts.
    Chris
