    Taking Emily back today

The sun is shining but I bet the 6 hour return trip will take 8 today because of the ice still on the roads. There won't be enough power in the sun to melt the 12 inches of snow we got yesterday. Of course, there is rain in the forecast for Monday. The temperature swing is ridiculous.

Fred, of course, is driving so slow and steady we shall go.

Hopefully slow & steady will win the race, though. Sometimes that is all you can do when you have to be out driving in it. Safe travels.

Good Luck!!! Becca isn't taking any "Winterfest" classes so she doesn't have to go back until 1/28!! Hopefully, this snowy pattern we're in will be DONE by then!!!

Mission aborted at the second exit. Roads are all ice packed, not a clear tire line at all and the wind is picking up so very treacherous. It is too cold for the salt to melt the ice so we will try again tomorrow.
