Description: I used one of DRS Designs newest stamps for the focal point of my card--Leonard Pig Behind The Bubble (081G). He was colored with Copic Markers and then added Diamond Glaze to the bubbles for a realistic look. I made the background pattern paper by stamping it with the Woven Plaid Background (613P). Sending You Sunshine

Description: I used 2 new stamps recently released from DRS Designs, the Sandcastle (090G) and the Sending You Sunshine Greeting (094D). I've also used the Polka Dot Background (688P) to create my own pattern paper on the light blue panel. Such a fun sketch, this is the second time I've used it. Chalkboard Teacher Thank You

Description: Both the Teacher Touch A Heart Greeting (475G) and the Teacher Tools image (792G) are by DRS Designs. They were heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. Then, white ink was sponged around the embossed areas to make it resemble a chalkboard. Description: When I posted in the forum that I hadn't had to resort to any Christmas cards to keep busy at the crop I guess I was lying! I forgot I had this until I starting taking pictures. Patterned paper, hand marked the stitches. The triangles were just hand cut out of patterned paper.

Description: I made this at the weekend crop. The pear paper is something I dug out of my bin. Years ago I was in a swap in which we made sheets of paper with random stamped images and mailed them off. This was before all the PP was readily available. this was sent to me so I have no idea what stamps she used.

Description: I made this at the weekend crop. The stamp is a very old SU one, but it is very much like the new and popular "Wetlands" one I see all over Pinterest. I used a white gel pen to highlight the images.

Description: This Hambo stamp make me giggle! I guess I share the same sense of humour as their designer! I used this for Emily's 20th birthday card. I had to eat a popsicle to get the stick, too! I chose the white ones so there wouldn't be a stain! (The fabric behind the card is my new kitchen curtain remnants. I am almost done and will take a picture)

Embossed Flower Swap

Description: It kept bending on the step when I was taking the picture, it really isn't curved like that! This card front is for Jan's embossed flower swap. I used an old Stampin Up stamp for the tall grass, and then punched out the butterfly and die cut the flowers. (Spellbinders, I think) They were all attached and then it was put through the Big Shot.

Crop card - faux silk

Description: this is one of the cards I made on Sunday. It may be hard to see but the technique is faux silk You stamp on white tissue paper (I used markers) and then crumple it up. Put glue stick all over a piece of white card stock and add the image. Trim excess to the edge.

Mix8 challenge: Rip it, Paste it, Ink it

Description: OH, I have spring fever really bad! Last night the sun didn't begin to set until after 9pm. In my head I know we can have another month of winter but oh, I am so-o ready for summer. Um yes, we actually don't have spring, yes no spring flowers :-( So a girl does what she must...MAKE ART! The background was made with scraps of designer papers. I embellished some papers with the wrinkled distress technique. I added a distress look to the wrinkled hills and valleys by coloring were colored with mists, distress inks, distress stains and mists then sanding and repeating. The hills in the background remind me of the snow capped mountains that are so clearly seen for the next few months. But my wishes for summer had me creating lots of green mountains and only edged with snow :-) And if you note the top flower is soaking in all the sunlight. To create the flowers, I colored white glossy paper with alcohol inks with the polished stone technique and cut with TH tattered flower die. Dimension was added to the petals by creasing and bending. Description: I made this for the Clean and Simple challenge this week at SCS. It was based on a poppy cake she saw on Pinterest. I seed to get with the program and get a poppy stamp they seem to all the rage this year. This was a clipart picture I found on the net. The black paper is just one of the lovely things I received from Jan for the Shack challenges.

Then I adhered them in place above and below the Goodbye Winter Greeting (384G) as shown. The middle flower on the bottom panel was popped up for dimension. MIX7 Splattering with distress stains

Description: This was so-o much fun...reminds me of stomping in mud puddles as a child! Creating a spattering with a sponge-top stain, ink or paint requires some direct force of hitting the the paper with the sponge top. While one can control the area of the hit (darker circle in center of hit)...the splatter is total free-form. This flower stamp has a lot of rubber surface making it a good candidate for applying stain. Blotting may be necessary if too much stain is transferred to the paper. Heat set each inking on the paper prior to adding more ink. I had no issues with the dabbers but would encourage others to use with caution since the force used to create these splatters could perhaps cause damage to the bottle and or the sponge top. I had so much fun I know I will be making more with this method!

Description: I received a RAK from Sally Bailey and with it was this VERY awesome card. She used Memory Box dies to create it and it just HAD to be shared with everyone. Thank you, Sally it will be on my board for a long time to come! I'm unsure if the sentiment is a sticker or rubon, cause if it is embossing then it is the most perfect job I've ever seen! Dies are called Debutante and Orchard Frame

Description: After seeing Amy's cards the other day I realized I have all the same elements and why don't I make some myself?? The version on the right is how you save a card when you stamp the flower and get an extra line by the stem! I stamped some reeds around it- good as new!
