Well, its day 2 and she has slept off and on all day again. We both slept pretty good last night, she slept with me in my bed which she hasn't done that since she was like 4 so that was kinda nice :). (she would never say that) I woke her up every 4 hours to give her Vicodin. I can't believe they have her on that - it is so strong. This morning she got sick after eating a little bit of yogurt so now I am giving her an anti-nausea pill every 4 hours too. She is on my laptop when she is awake which explains why I haven't been on here all day!!
She wanted a chick-fil-a shake for dinner so I went in the POURING RAIN and got her a chocolate shake. She ate the whole thing with a spoon. I was good and just had a boring Lean Cuisine dinner. LOL
That's my update

ugh, I remember Chris dealing with all of this. How is the swelling? The dr. mentioned not sucking through a straw right? I hope she will be able to sleep most of it off.

yes no sucking through a straw. I thought it was just for the first 24 hours but I won't let her even now because I cannot remember.... better to be safe than sorry!!

Poor Girl! My wisdom teeth were impacted, so I too had all 4 of mine plus a few others pulled at the same time. I feel for her....I was miserable for a good week! I was so drugged up the first 4 days or so I was falling asleep standing up!
Sounds like she is on the road to a speedy recovery!

I'm glad she was able to eat some dinner. It is just awful having your wisdom teeth out. I remember that everything I tried to eat tasted awful. I hope she is better really soon. Give her a hug from me. Hugs, Heather

I'm surprised at the vicodin, too, but glad she won't feel any pain at least. It sounds nice to have your baby girl sleep in your bed again. Makes us feel like they still need us, right?

I was wondering when she was having them done. I thought she had them done while I was away last week. She should be fine with a straw now, we usually tell people 24-48 hours to be on the safe side.
Make sure she keeps using moist heat for as many days as she has any soreness in the muscles, 20 min on, 20 min off.
Did they give her a syringe to irrigate with after eating to help keep things clean?

Poor girl!! Yup that vicodin will upset her stomach!! I used to work for a pharmacist and he would tell us never on an empty stomach. So poor girl!! That is just a hard hard procedure to withstand. My prayers are with her. Thank you so much for the update.

Sounds like it's going along ok. It's nice that you get a little girl time while she recovers. Sounds like a pedicure would be a fun treat.

that shake sounds like it was the perfect dinner for her. She needs something in her with all of those pain pills. Best of luck.

Day #3 is always the worst "they say" so that is today. Last night at 1 am she woke up feeling starved and she wanted mashed potatoes (homemade) and chicken noodle soup so I didn't get to bed till 2 then woke her up every 4 hours to give her her pain meds. I am awake now and she is still sleeping so we'll see what today brings!

Update - Emily is doing SO MUCH better today. She slept till about 11, got up and took a bath, got dressed and ate some of MY lean cuisine swedish meatballs and noodles. She was online and now is back to sleep. She has already requested another chocolate shake for dinner from Chick-Fil-A.
