I finally decided that blending my prismacolor pencils with Chanel no.5 was bad for my health, and budget and bought some OMS.
Wow, what a difference! I played around with achieving a watercolour landscape look with them and am very happy with the results on my Pelican Bookmark (http://stamp-shack.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=12750&limit=recent) for Tami's swap.

I really love the vibrant colours you can get by layering prismacolor pencils and the watercolour look. Where have these pencils been all my life?
Thanks again Nancy, for getting me started on my colouring journey

Yes, Jovi, they do smell wonderful, but the results weren't anywhere near as good

I still have not found OMS to even buy it. I have a blending pencil made for Prismacolors. One day, I'll find it and maybe my life will change. Probably not.

Suzi, my stores here have never heard of Gamasol, but they sold me "odorless solvent" which is what artists use to clean brushes and as an additive to oil painting.

Sarah -Great job with the bookmark-love the layering of colors you did. While in San Diego I tried taking pictures of pelicans (my husband loves watching them) but I should have just had you stamp him a picture. I can't believe you were using Channel #5 for blending-wow-just think of the stamps you can buy now saving all that money.
Thanks for sharing your artwork with us.

Gamsol is a brand name for artist grade odorless mineral spirits. Gamsol isn't a different solvent than OMS. You can purchase it thought some ar supply stores and some online stamping companies carry it.
