We had below-freezing temps last night, also. The weather people were telling us to cover our tulips and daffodils. My daffodils have started blooming, but my tulips have not yet done so. I didn't cover them. I think they're alright. This is unseasonably cold for us, also. Later this week, we'll hit the 70-degree mark. That's normal for this time of year for us.

Brought my hanging baskets in yesterday- It is only about 37 here so hopefully everything is good here but tonight is suppose to be much colder.
Good luck with your tender vegatation there-last year we lost lots of flowers with the late freeze. In the mountains we figure on frost until May 15. So that is a lot of covering for protection.

at least the sun is out today and it's NOT snowing! Still cold at only 35 right now but it should warm up nicely.

I'm in NC too and I feel your pain. My feet are freezing right now!
